As Employers, both Federal and State regulations require us to monitor and track the hours of Non-Exempt Employees. Hours worked, not worked, vacations, sick, etc. We also want to make sure we are tracking productive time and attendance. More importantly, to encourage prompt attendance and high productivity, and to ease the burden of time tracking, we will implement time and attendance policies unaware of some of the ramifications. We must be careful – some of our creative reward systems can be burdensome, difficult to manage and even create additional levels of regulatory compliance.

Our Free Webinar will discuss some common timekeeping policies, how they can get you in trouble, and some better ways to incentive your Employees.
Specifically, we will discuss:

– Mandatory Lunch Periods
– Vacation, Sick and Personal Leave & Payouts
– Discretionary vs non-discretionary bonuses
– Point Systems for Attendance
– Timesheets for Exempt Staff
– Pay Periods – regulations, paying current, semi-monthly, overtime
– Timesheet Approvals

As of September 2017, the average fringe benefit rate for Employees in the private sector was 30.4%. This figure includes items such as health insurance, leave payments, Social Security, Medicare, and retirement. To remain competitive as an “Employer of Choice”, businesses must provide additional fringe benefits beyond these basic benefits mentioned. Employers need to have an enticing Total Compensation Package. Many of these benefits have tax implications and ALL of them should have carefully worded policies to protect the Business and ensure understanding with the Employees.

Our Free Webinar will discuss:

– Athletic Facilities
– Auto Fringe
– Cell Phones
– Employee Discounts
– Group-Term Life Insurance
– Meals
– Moving Expense Reimbursements
– Tuition Reimbursements
– Fringe Benefit Policies (this is an important detail)

Maybe it is time to rethink your Performance Review Process and, in the process, your Pay Scales. Both lead to the other. We will show you how.

Our FREE Webinar will discuss:

– Are your Employees’ Goals and Objectives tied to the Goals, Objectives and Mission of the Organization? If not, how do you get there?
– Before you implement a Pay for Performance Plan – consider – how much do you really empower your Employees over their Performance?
– What result are you trying to achieve in a Performance Review? There should be no surprises and the Employee should lead this show.
– Grading your Employees.
– Merit Increases vs Cost of Living Adjustments.
– What tools are you using to determine an Employee’s Pay Scale? We will show you some!
– Are you treating all Employees the same? Stop! They are not the same.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

People! In the business of Human Capital Management, we too often separate Payroll, Human Resources and Accounting. All three of these vital functional areas of any organization must work cohesively for a Company to thrive. Happy Employees will always = Happy Customers.
For Happy Employees, Human Resources will create and implement innovative incentive programs. Caution: Many, if not all, will have an unforeseen impact on the Employee’s Pay because of Regulations. Our Seminar will discuss the most common incentive programs, the regulatory impact, and offer some alternatives that may be easier on the calculator and corporate checkbook.
A cohesive, inclusive and, perhaps most important, empathetic workplace is vital to a happy workplace. We will go a step further than talk about our generational differences – we are going to talk about the factors that have shaped those differences, how we should communicate with each other, and how Generation Z could bring us all together.

Process! Changes in the Tax Code? Big ones happened this year and Employees, and Employers, need to understand the impact to the Employees’ paychecks and fringe benefits. Businesses will need to “up their game” and make sure their processes and procedures are in place for Employee taxation communication and staying informed. Legislation changes are happening fast!

PerFOREmance! You took the big step. You made the smart move. You are working in an Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and all the work involved in the Employee life-cycle is in one fabulous place. Is it really? HRIS Systems are often under-utilized. If you are still performing any part of your job on a piece of paper (unless it is passing a gossipy note to your team-mate), you are probably missing advantages. What about the metrics and cost-control benefits? You have a great tool! We will teach you how to use it. If you are not using an HRIS System, you will want one at the end of the day!
